I am so honored to be the principal at McKinleyville High School!
I was born and raised here in McKinleyville, graduated from MHS in 1997 and am happy to now live in this community with my amazing wife Shannon and my three future panthers Rylee, Dylan and Myles.
I attended College of the Redwoods before transferring to Humboldt State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in social science, my teaching credential and my administrative credential. I started my educational career at Six Rivers Charter High School in Arcata where I taught history before taking on the position as principal there for three years. In 2016 an opportunity to return to Mack High was too good to pass up and I have been lucky enough to serve here ever since.
As a student at MHS I always felt like I was part of a family and I am happy to say that the feeling now as principal is still here. We have an amazing group of students and staff that make this a very welcoming place to be as well as an incredibly supportive community behind us. My favorite part of my job is the positive relationships I get to build with young people to support them as they move forward in their lives.
I am proud to be a Panther!
