good afternoon McKinleyville High School Panthers happy Friday I hope this video finds you and your family well on this sunny day as we head into a little bit of a rainy weekend and into the last 4 weeks of school of the 2019-20 school just a couple of quick things one I wanted to start with a big shout out to some of our amazing staff as I hope everyone knows I Wednesday was a California day of the teacher of the week before Teacher Appreciation Week you have some amazing teachers in a few of them. Recognize this week Mr Hannon was recognized for the Excellence in teaching award for Humboldt County this Wednesday night all of you who had the pleasure of having mr. Hannah know just how amazing Washington positive and so I just want to say thank you to mr. hand for all that he does and congratulations mrs. Bollman was nominated and then receive the award of the California history teacher of the year that's a pretty big war I can't think of somebody who works harder than mrs. Bowman she puts her heart and soul into her classes and her students and to see that get recognized especially with her passion for history day was just was just amazing so this is what congratulations and then finally the Humboldt County recognized dr. G our very own Gary Glassman for the gene Olson career Achievement Award all of you may know or is or may not know eye doctor Glassman is going to be retiring at the end we're going to miss him and so this was really a nice way to celebrate a really long productive and an amazing career and for those of you who have had the pleasure of being in the Hut you know what I'm talking about he's just a creator Asian person and I we're going to miss him but again congratulations for that award secondly I've been talking about it probably now for a week or so and I apologize it hasn't come but I can tell you just talk to me or superintendent McDonald's today alternative grading forms with some information about choosing grades should be coming through emails so please parents students look for that and then finally to our seniors I please look for an email call for me today with us more detailed information but I can only imagine right now there's a lot of questions about graduation specifically and just the end of the year we appreciate your patience and waiting on all this information it's tough but really our goal is been to try to make sure we can do the Best Buy all of you in the safest ways possible so I'll have a little bit of information in my email just to you seen your specific super 10 Rodger McDonald will have more formation he's been working in public health this week about the parameters of graduation and then my hope is to have something finally very specific next week for students and parents just to clarify what our plans are answer questions and we can go from there once again our goal is to do something special that honors all of you for the tremendous work you put in the past four years at Mac high and celebrate you but also make sure that we are being safe in fall in the protocols we have to fall from public health so are we hope we find it a good mix and look for more information there would that I wish you all a wonderful Friday have a great weekend is always if you need us please call us to take care of yourself Talk Soup
