SCHOOL CLOSED for the remainder of the 2019-20 School Year. MHS will move forward with distance learning for the remainder of the semester

Northern Humboldt Union High School Families,

As you may have noticed today virtually all of Humboldt County public schools are closing due to health concerns.  I am extending our initial closure to March 27 to be more consistent with our peers and to give you all better information so you can plan for your family.

During the school closure all school and co curricular events are cancelled.

This week our staff is collaborating and preparing to deliver high quality virtual learning opportunities for our students.  You can expect more communication from your school this week regarding the initiation of our online learning plan.

For students participating in our Free and Reduced lunch program we will be providing brown bag lunches to go.  They may be picked up at Arcata and McKinleyville High School Cafeterias between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. We will update you with any changes later this week.

I know that we are in uncertain times but know that we are making every effort to provide for your child’s needs.  We will do our best to keep you informed as this is a fluid situation and information is coming to us from multiple sources daily.
